On April 22, 2010, the E.P.A. issued a new rule requiring all contractors to become certified in using lead-safe practices when renovating, repairing, and painting lead-based painted homes built before 1978 to prevent lead contamination. As a certified firm, P.M. Construction Enterprises Incorporated follows lead-safe practices which include dust containment in an enclosed work area that is thoroughly labeled and cleaned.
